The privacy policy applies to all websites of Kiwanis International
District Switzerland-Liechtenstein. For foreign websites to which there is a link from this website, we do not grant compliance with this Privacy Policy.
In the following, we would like to give you an overview of where data is collected and how it is handled.
1.1.1 General remarks on data protection
As part of our activity, data is collected and stored in various places, through various programs and services. This happens, for example, if you use the contact form, or if Google Analytics stores your IP address in order to generate an aggregated output of the user behavior on this website. We will discuss the various “data collectors” in more detail below.
1.1.1.1 Collection, purpose, storage and deletion of personal data
1.1.1.2 Personal data and their recording
We naturally handle all of our data carefully but with regard to the GDPR, personal data are of particular relevance. These include name, address, telephone number etc. but also your IP address and possibly even user name. Hence, anything that can carry personally identifiable information.
On the other hand, data that points to a company or organization are not included.
When passing on your information on our website, for example via the contact form or the comments function etc., please pay attention to the information you wish to transmit: For example, do not write any sensitive data in the comments function or do not provide us with any critical data through the contact form.
1.1.1.3 Purpose of data processing
Data processing serves various purposes, which will be discussed in detail below.
In principle, we use the data to manage customer care and order completion, to provide our offers and services online and to improve them. Likewise, data is used as part of our marketing.
1.1.1.4 Data processing by third parties
As part of our online offering and to improve user experience, for instance, we use several third-party content providers to provide content or services on the website, such as videos, fonts etc. These third-party editors process your IP address to ensure that the content on our website is displayed correctly. The various instances will be discussed individually below.
In some cases, these instances are located in countries outside Switzerland or even the EU. However, we make sure that the data protection requirements are met.

By way of exception, data may be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to pursue our claims or if there is a legal obligation.

On this website cookies can be set. Cookies are small text files that are permanently or temporarily stored on your computer when you visit this website. The purpose of cookies is, in particular, to analyze the use of this website for statistical evaluation and continuous improvement. 1.2 Contacting Kiwanis International District Switzerland-Liechtenstein.
Our website offers various possibilities to contact us, such as forms or the comments function.
Your information will be stored and used to handle your request, but also processed for further customer relationship. Additionally, the data are stored for internal purposes (e.g. evaluation, tracking and documentation) and any further contact (for further customer support, follow-up, obtaining evaluations etc.). For internal purposes, therefore, these data are stored even after termination of the cooperation until explicit revocation. We also reserve the right to save notes on explicitly unwelcome initiations of contact in order to prevent them.
Please do not share any information that you do not want us or others to receive (especially with regards to public commenting!). Therefore, please refrain from sending sensitive data, such as credit card information, via e-mail or contact form and use the telephone instead.

Your data will be stored in various places (e.g. e-mail program, website, backup, CRM system) and securely stored on Hoster’s Hostpoint in Switzerland.
1.2.1 Contact form and e-mail
All information that you send us via the contact form or e-mail will be processed as described above. The data sent includes those that you submit in the mandatory and optional fields, as well as in the message field. In addition, your IP address may be saved.
1.2.2 Comments function
On the one hand, the comments function allows you to contact us, and on the other hand, lets you discuss and comment on individual blog posts.
In order to enhance the user experience, we ask for a username, which also allows recognition during long discussions. We do without an avatar picture.
In addition, we ask for your e-mail address to reduce fake requests on the one hand and to have a contact option on the other hand, for example, in the case of a potential customer contact or if we need to determine the person behind it for legal reasons. Besides, the IP address is saved.
Information provided in the comment field will be saved and, if necessary, published on the website. Particular attention should be taken not to publish any sensitive data. You are also welcome to use a fictitious username.
Your comments will be stored on our website and saved in backups. As an important part of the content, the comments are stored / published indefinitely. For deletion or change requests, please contact hello@kiwanisyouthcamp.com.
If we recognize the need to establish contact in a comment (potential customer, other issues or questions / support / service), the information will be processed as described under “Contacting Youthcamp”.

1.4.1 Google Analytics
1.4.1.1 What data does Google Analytics record?
This website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Possibly personal data will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months.

1.4.1.2 IP masking / anonymization
As website operators, we have also initiated the anonymization of your IP. Thanks to IP masking, your IP address is altered so that no personally identifiable information can be gathered. This way, all other data such as location etc. can be recorded, so that they do not permit any inference as to your person without IP address.
We use the aggregated, anonymized data from Google Analytics, for example, to improve website performance or to evaluate our marketing activities.

At the present time, social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Co. are important in areas such as marketing & analytics, customer acquisition, customer care and service. We therefore rely on the offers of various social networks.

1.5.1 Social media on our websites
On our web pages you will find various places where you can interact with social media channels and, for example, share content.
